Job Description:1. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Finance Leadership- Serve as the lead day-to-day finance partner for assigned client accounts and the Omnicom Content Collective business team.
- Apply Revenue Recognition as per ASC 606 guidance, Lead month-end close, GL reconciliation, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Provide financial guidance that supports agency growth, client retention, and profitability objectives.
- Translate complex financial information into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
Business Management & Operations- Support finance leadership team in commercial negotiations and financial evaluation of client contracts, staffing plans, and pricing models.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, revenue recognition guidelines, and contractual obligations.
- Drive process improvements that enhance financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and scalability.
2. Leadership, Mentorship & Team Enablement Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with general FP&A support resources in India to ensure clear expectations, timely deliverables, and consistent financial outputs.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for client finance processes, tools, reporting standards, and finance best practices for non-US members supporting our Finance team.
- Train and teach team members on forecasting, revenue recognition, profitability analysis, billing discipline, and working capital management such as Earned but Unbilled, Deferred Revenue, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing, documentation, and cross-training to strengthen broader Client Finance capabilities.
- Coordinate workload priorities with supporting FP&A resources and partner teams to ensure business needs are met efficiently.
- Support onboarding and capability-building for new or developing finance team members through practical coaching and process guidance.
- Model strong leadership behaviors, professionalism, accountability, and client service excellence across cross-functional teams.
3. Client Finance, Revenue & Working Capital SupportClient Finance Support- Support the Director and VP of Finance with day-to-day financial activities across assigned client accounts, including revenue, profitability, staffing, billing, and working capital schedules.
- Prepare client-level forecasts, revenue analyses, margin reports, and risk and opportunity schedules for review by finance leadership.
- Compare actual and forecasted financial results with budgets, staffing plans, SOW commitments, and profitability targets; investigate variances and document findings.
- Identify financial variances, risks, and opportunities; prepare supporting detail and escalate items requiring action or decision by the Director or VP of Finance.
Contract, Pricing & Revenue Support- Review SOWs, MSAs, amendments, pricing models, and staffing plans for completeness; summarize key financial terms, assumptions, and potential issues for finance leadership review.
- Prepare financial models, staffing schedules, fee calculations, and scenario analyses to support new business, renewals, and scope changes.
- Coordinate with Controllership and Shared Services on revenue recognition questions, gather supporting documentation, and escalate complex matters to finance leadership.
- Maintain documentation supporting revenue methodologies, billing schedules, and financial commitments in accordance with established policy, accounting guidance, and contract terms.
Billing, Collections & Balance Sheet Discipline- Coordinate with Media Finance and Shared Services to support timely and accurate client billing and reconcile invoicing schedules to approved SOWs, staffing plans, and revenue forecasts.
- Monitor accounts receivable, collections, disputed balances, unapplied cash, accruals, reserves, and other working capital items.
- Research and document billing, collection, and balance sheet issues; coordinate follow-up with business, Controllership, and Shared Services teams and escalate unresolved items.
4. Omnicom Content Collection (OCC) Finance Support- Maintain the pro-forma OCC income statement and supporting schedules; prepare recurring reporting and analysis for review by OCC finance and business leadership.
- Maintain OCC Revenue Pipeline to provide visibility into committed revenue as well as related opportunities and risks.
- Prepare OCC financial planning, staffing, and profitability analyses under the direction of the VP of Finance.
- Support financial operations for content production, experiential programs, creator partnerships, and related service offerings by maintaining project data and coordinating required follow-up.
- Monitor Production and WIP jobs, reconcile activity, and flag aged or unresolved balances for leadership review.
- Prepare project financial performance, reconciliation, accrual, and job profitability analyses; investigate discrepancies and provide supporting detail.
- Follow established financial controls for vendor spend, project tracking, and client billings, and report exceptions promptly.
- Support workflow development and standardization across Omnicom Content Collection (OCC) finance processes.
- Partner with agency teams to ensure clear ownership and accountability for integrated projects involving multiple operating units.
- Assist with reporting, automation, and process improvement initiatives by documenting current workflows, testing updates, and implementing approved changes.
5. Financial Planning, Forecasting & ReportingForecasting & Budgeting- Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budget schedules for assigned accounts and business areas under the direction of finance leadership.
- Gather and validate revenue, staffing allocations, investment, and profitability inputs from finance and business stakeholders.
- Maintain forecast assumptions and prepare scenario analyses requested by the Finance leadership team.
Financial Analysis- Analyze revenue, gross income, labor costs, utilization, profitability, and operating expenses.
- Perform variance analyses against forecast, budget, and prior periods.
- Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
Reporting- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages and supporting schedules for finance leadership review.
- Summarize key financial trends, variances, and open items for the Director and VP of Finance.
- Maintain financial dashboards and reporting tools to monitor business performance.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination- Maintain effective working relationships with account management, Shared Services, Procurement, HR, Operations, and other agency partners to complete finance deliverables.
- Provide requested schedules, models, and supporting information to Commercial Finance and Growth teams.
- Coordinate staffing and hiring plan data with Resource Management and HR teams and maintain approved updates in finance schedules.
- Work with Shared Services to resolve routine billing, forecasting, reporting, and financial operations issues.
- Prepare financial analyses and recommendations for review and use by the Finance Leadership Team
- Respond to routine finance inquiries, track open items, and escalate matters requiring interpretation, negotiation, or leadership approval.
7. Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive finance, FP&A, client finance, commercial finance, accounting, or professional services financial management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate recurring finance activities, manage detailed schedules, and collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore support teams.
- Experience supporting client-facing organizations within advertising, media, marketing, consulting, professional services, or related industries.
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Hands-on experience supporting revenue, profitability, billing, and working capital processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize financial information for finance leadership and non-finance partners.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
8. Preferred Qualifications- MBA, CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification.
- Experience within a media agency, holding company, marketing services organization, or integrated communications environment.
- Experience supporting production, content studio, influencer, commerce, or marketing operations business units.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and contract review processes.
- Experience with ERP, planning, and financial reporting systems (SAP, OneStream, Workday, Hyperion, Power BI, or similar platforms).
- Experience contributing to process improvement, reporting automation, or finance transformation initiatives.
