Title: Manager, Client Accounting Services

Department: Client Accounting Services (CAS)

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Manager of Client Accounting Services plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the accounting services provided to clients here at Anchin. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in accounting, leadership skills, and a client-focused approach. The individual will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of accounting processes while maintaining excellent client relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the process of onboarding new clients.
  • Manage, supervise and motivate a team of multiple staff, seniors and supervisor level accountants.
  • Provide controllership and financial reporting services to our clients.
  • Identify client issues and manage day-to-day client relationships.
  • Support and train staff, seniors and supervisors in the performance of their daily responsibilities.
  • Assist in developing and rendering relevant training sessions to Client Accounting Services staff.
  • Supervise the month-end close process for clients.
  • Review and evaluate the monthly financial statements and monthly reporting packages prepared by CAS staff.
  • Maintain ongoing communications with CAS clients and participate in monthly/interim conference calls with CAS clients concerning the results of their operations and financial condition.
  • Communicate with Directors and Partners on the status of key client accounting and reporting matters.
  • Provide client management with value added financial analysis and ongoing process feedback.
  • Develop recommendations to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and increase profitability for clients.
  • Provide superior and proactive professional services for clients.
  • Recommend policies and procedures as they relate to improving client service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA is a plus.

Experience:
  • 6+ years of experience within client accounting services with a focus on consumer products, professional services, and real estate industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online, Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Yardi, Bill.com, Expensify, or other accounting software preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Compensation:
  • Competitive annual salary in the range of $130,000 to $160,000 based on individual's experience level.
