Full Job Description
Position Summary:

The Change Manager is responsible for running change management for the Transportation division's transformation initiatives. Working with the senior management team, the Operational Excellence team, IT, and HR, this role plans and executes the people side of each major change; impact assessment, sponsorship support, communication, training coordination, and adoption measurement - across a workforce spanning corporate transportation planners, brokerage and TM operations teams, cross-dock and station leadership, drivers, and contracted final mile delivery partners. The Change Manager is expected in the field: at cross-docks during go-lives, in station huddles during process rollouts, and alongside site leaders coaching them through their role in each change.

Your role on the team:

  • Develops and executes change management plans for the division's major initiatives - TMS and last-mile technology deployments, process standardization waves, organizational changes, and site integrations; proportionate to the size and risk of each change
  • Conducts stakeholder analyses and change impact assessments by role, site, and shift, recognizing that a TMS change lands very differently for a corporate planner than for a dock supervisor on second shift
  • Provides adoption-readiness input to go/no-go decisions ahead of major deployments
  • Prepares and supports sponsors: equips the EVP, VPs, and site leaders with talking points, FAQs, and cadence expectations so sponsorship is visible and consistent
  • Builds and runs a change agent network of respected frontline leaders across TM operations and Final Mile stations to carry messages, surface resistance early, and localize adoption support
  • Coordinates with GEODIS Americas Communications and HR to keep divisional messaging aligned with Group brand, values, and engagement programs
  • Supports HR on the people implications of organizational changes: role transitions and manager preparation for difficult conversations
  • Coaches project managers and site leaders in change fundamentals
  • Communication - Drafts and manages initiative communications: executive messages, division wide updates, and site-level toolkits - consistent in narrative, adapted in channel and tone from corporate email to break-room huddle boards
  • Coordinates role-based training and enablement for each deployment, working with IT, vendors, and operations trainers; ensures frontline teams are proficient before go-live, with floor support during hypercare
  • Stands up sustainment mechanisms: super-user networks, quick-reference tools, refresher cadences, and new-hire onboarding updates so proficiency survives turnover in a high-attrition frontline environment
  • Defines and tracks adoption metrics for each major initiative - system usage, process compliance, proficiency, sustainment - and reports them monthly alongside business case benefits
  • Tracks go-live disruption (productivity dip depth and duration versus baseline) and drives it down deployment over deployment
  • Toolkit & Capability - Builds and maintains the division's change management toolkit; templates, checklists, and standards - so change planning becomes part of how the division runs projects

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Organizational Development, Communications, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field
  • 5+ years of change management experience, including hands-on support of operational or supply chain initiatives with frontline/hourly workforces
  • Formal change certification (Prosci/ADKAR, ACMP CCMP, or equivalent) or demonstrated command of a structured methodology
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology deployments (TMS, WMS, ERP, last-mile execution, or labor management systems) in multi-site operations
  • Strong facilitation, writing, and presentation skills across the full altitude range - leadership meetings to dock-floor huddles
  • Comfort with metrics: adoption tracking, survey design and analysis, and connecting adoption to benefits
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, weighted toward go-live and hypercare periods
  • Preferred experience in 3PL, transportation, parcel/final mile, or distribution environments; familiarity with contracted delivery/agent models a strong plus
  • Preferred experience supporting post-acquisition integration or site consolidation
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (significant frontline workforce advantage)
  • PMP, agile, or project management credential preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external customers
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
  • Strong organization and project-management skills, including the ability to meet demanding, evolving, and often competing deadlines
  • Ability to Work cross-functionally throughout departments
  • Ability to translate strategy into language that lands with hourly and salaried audiences alike; make the "why" (competitiveness, service, job security through a healthier business) as clear as the "what"
  • Ability to run feedback loops (pulse surveys, site visits, hyper care ticket analysis) to detect resistance and adoption gaps early and convert findings into corrective actions with owners and dates
