This role is based at our corporate office in McLean, VA

This is your chance to be part of an in-house Brands team of industry experts across hospitality, brand management, innovation, and owner relations for Hilton's portfolio of world-class brands. As Manager, Category Initiatives, you will play a key role in advancing category priorities by leading executive communications, shaping the category narrative, and supporting high-priority cross-brand initiatives across the All Suites & Focused Service (ASFS) category. Reporting to the Director, Category Management, you will partner closely with category leadership to develop executive materials, drive stakeholder alignment, coordinate planning and governance activities, and help translate strategy into coordinated execution across brands, functions, and enterprise stakeholders. Supporting the ASFS portfolio - including Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, Home2 Suites, LivSmart Studios, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton, Tru, Spark, and Tempo - you will help ensure the category operates with clarity, consistency, and a unified voice while advancing key business priorities.

What you'll do during a typical day:
  • Partner with Category Leadership to advance annual planning, governance, and category initiatives, helping translate priorities into coordinated execution across the category.
  • Develop presentations, briefing materials, and communications for a variety of audiences, including Team Members, General Managers, owners, executives, and Board-level stakeholders, ensuring messaging is tailored to each audience and business objective.
  • Coordinate category operating rhythms, including planning cycles, leadership forums, governance activities, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Lead content development and planning support for conferences, team offsites, leadership meetings, and other category engagements.
  • Drive execution of cross-brand and enterprise initiatives by coordinating workstreams, managing timelines, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and removing execution barriers.
  • Apply business insights and performance data to strengthen executive communications, category storytelling, and recommendations while identifying opportunities to improve planning, communications, and ways of working across the category.

How you'll collaborate with others:
  • Partner with Category Leadership, Brand teams, Brand Personality, Marketing, F&B, and Design.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Strategy, Events, Development, and Communications.

Deliverables you'll take ownership of:
  • Develop executive presentations, briefing materials, category narratives, QBR storylines, conference content, and other leadership communications that support category priorities.
What It Takes to Make the Stay

You have these minimum qualifications:
  • Five (5) or more years of professional experience in planning and operations, project management, communications, consulting, business operations, or a related field.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects in a matrixed environment, with the talent to coordinate stakeholders and drive execution.
  • Experience developing presentations and communicating complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Programs, with the skill to develop clear executive materials.

It would be useful if you have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, communications, marketing, hospitality or related field
  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Experience in hospitality, travel, consulting, or a corporate strategy/business operations environment.
  • Experience supporting executive leaders and preparing materials for senior leadership forums.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups in a matrixed organization.

Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package to support their mental and physical well-being, so they can Thrive personally and professionally. The pay range for this role is $85,000 - $120,000 and is determined based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Annual Incentive (Bonus) Plan, consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
