Manager, Business Reporting & Analytics

The Manager of Business Reporting & Analytics is a centrally located role responsible for leading key business reporting initiatives for the Customer Business Units (CBUs) and Customer Business Teams (CBTs). Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Analytics, this position collaborates with Senior Managers of Decision Science & Engagement (DSE) within each CBU and CBT to identify top reporting needs. The role provides thought leadership on the most meaningful reports to guide business decisions and is responsible for building and delivering those reports.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Serve as a strategic leader in business reporting, working closely with CBUs and CBTs to understand their reporting needs and priorities.

  • Collaborate with Senior Managers of DSE to identify key metrics and insights that will inform business strategies and decisions.

  • Provide thought leadership on the development of impactful reporting solutions that drive understanding of market and brand performance.

  • Design and build comprehensive reports that synthesize data from multiple sources, ensuring clarity and relevance for stakeholders.

  • Present findings and insights in a clear, actionable format to senior executives and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitive activity to ensure reporting remains relevant and aligned with business goals.

  • Train and support CBU and CBT teams in utilizing reporting tools and interpreting data to enhance their decision-making capabilities.

  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization by effectively communicating the value of insights and reporting.


WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related discipline.

  • 6+ years of experience in business reporting, analytics, or related roles, preferably within the consumer packaged goods or healthcare sectors.

  • Expertise in syndicated market data and familiarity with BI/OLAP platforms and solutions.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets into meaningful insights.

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization and influence cross-functional teams.


Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in Econometrics, Data Science, Engineering, Business, or Marketing.

  • Experience at a Tier 1 Management Consulting firm.

  • Knowledge of scenario planning, war-gaming, and optimization techniques.


Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $118k-178k. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive program (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
