About the Role
As a Manager on the BCRM team, you will serve as the functional system and data lead, providing strategic oversight and guidance for our business continuity system of record architecture and technical requirements. You will bring a strategic capability lens to translate BCRM, ORM, and enterprise methodology updates into actionable technical requirements while advancing data ecosystem integrity. Beyond technical execution, you will coordinate and influence key horizontal partner teams, drive continuous process evolution, and champion the integration of AI and automation to modernize data capture and risk insights across both the first and second lines of defense.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Outcomes & Leverage: Identify, plan, and launch AI and automation capabilities (e.g., using LLMs, RPA, or APIs) that streamline user workflows, reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and deliver quantifiable operational leverage.
Methodology & Requirements Translation: Translate complex BCRM, ORM, and enterprise methodology enhancements into actionable technical requirements, data schemas, and system workflows.
Delivery Coordination, Planning, and Ownership: Act as a key liaison and strategic communicator across ORM support teams and lines of defense. Coordinate the activities of the BCRM system team, aligning the roadmap with support team planning cycles to ensure timely delivery of system enhancements and BCRM strategic goals. Oversee system configuration and usage to ensure alignment with BCRM, ORM, Capital One standards, and industry best practices.
Data-Driven Performance & Iteration: Establish and monitor specialized system metrics (e.g., system integrity, manual intervention rates, system latency, and system health) to refine system features and optimize the product roadmap post-launch.
Horizontal Collaboration & Influence: Build strong connections across second line of defense teams and first line partners. Connect frameworks and technical capabilities horizontally to deliver a streamlined, integrated risk experience.
Team Leadership & Process Evolution: Promote continuous improvement and evolution of processes. Reduce roadblocks for cross-functional partners, set tactical goals for system development, and effectively prioritize competing deliverables.
Skills and Capabilities
Analytical & Integrated Problem Solving: Exceptional critical thinking with the ability to "connect the dots" across complex data structures, system configurations, and risk taxonomies.
Technical & Product Fluency: Strong familiarity with relational data models, product development frameworks, and the application of automation tools and AI to drive operational leverage.
Strategic Influence & Communication: Proven ability to act as a primary liaison and strategic communicator across teams. Adept at distilling complex technical architecture, data schemas, and risk concepts into clear, actionable insights and decision points for senior leadership and core stakeholders.
