Position Title:Manager Asset Production, Vendor OperationsLocation: HOUSTON TXFLSA Class: EXEMPTResponsible to:Senior Manager Asset Operations

Position Summary: The Manager, Asset Production & Vendor Operations will oversee the end-to-end production lifecycle of VoltaGrid's power generation and operational assets through vendor management, production coordination, deployment planning, and performance accountability. This role serves as the primary escalation point for manufacturing partners and vendors, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, delivery commitments, and post-award compliance requirements are consistently achieved.

As VoltaGrid continues to expand its fleet of mobile and stationary power generation assets supporting oil & gas, industrial, and data center customers, this individual will provide leadership, structure, and operational oversight across production activities. The role will focus on driving vendor performance, reducing production delays, improving asset deployment readiness, and establishing scalable processes to support future growth. Over time, this position is expected to lead and develop a team of production coordinators and operational support personnel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Management & Strategic Partnerships
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for manufacturing partners, equipment suppliers, and production vendors.
  • Manage vendor communications, issue resolution, escalation processes, and performance reviews.
  • Monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations, production schedules, quality requirements, and delivery commitments.
  • Drive accountability and corrective action plans when milestones, deliverables, or quality standards are at risk.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure alignment across vendor relationships.
  • Production Operations & Asset Manufacturing
  • Maintain visibility across all active manufacturing and production projects.
  • Track production milestones, schedules, and deliverables from award through completion.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope.
  • Manage post-purchase order activities, including documentation, approvals, inspections, and compliance requirements.
  • Support Management of Change (MOC) processes and operational controls throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve execution and throughput.
  • Asset Deployment & Fleet Readiness
  • Coordinate asset allocation, deployment schedules, and readiness activities for operational assets.
  • Partner with Operations, Logistics, Field Services, and Project Management teams to ensure successful deployment execution.
  • Monitor deployment timelines and proactively identify schedule conflicts or resource constraints.
  • Develop mitigation plans to minimize production and deployment delays.
  • Ensure assets are delivered in accordance with operational requirements and customer commitments.
  • Leadership, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and maintain production performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Establish standardized processes for vendor communications, milestone tracking, and production governance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing efficiency, schedule performance, and operational reliability.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership to production coordination personnel as the organization grows.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives that improve scalability, accountability, and execution across the asset lifecycle.

Other Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in production management, manufacturing operations, supply chain, project coordination, vendor management, or related operational environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships, production schedules, and complex project timelines.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting power generation, energy infrastructure, industrial equipment, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, production tracking software, procurement systems, and project management tools.
  • Experience leading operational teams or supervising production personnel.
  • Knowledge of Management of Change (MOC), procurement processes, and operational compliance programs.
  • Experience supporting large-scale equipment manufacturing, deployment, or commissioning activities.
