Salary range: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00

The Opportunity

The Manager, Annual Giving will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing activities to increase, diversify, and sustain philanthropic support from individuals, and to increase the pipeline of donors through our marketing and channel optimization efforts. This role contributes to meeting fundraising goals and developing strategies to cultivate and steward donor relationships.

How you will make an impact

  • Plan, oversee, and lead the execution of annual giving campaigns and initiatives (direct mail, digital campaigns, monthly giving, etc.), including budgeting, monitoring, and data analysis to drive revenue and acquisition of new donors.
  • Lead the development and implementation of annual giving fundraising strategies in collaboration with the Director, Philanthropy.
  • Manage relationships with external partner agencies and monitor and evaluate service delivery.
  • Build and manage relationships with internal partners to enable cross-team collaboration and build efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications colleagues to enhance and grow digital and online fundraising.
  • Use creative digital media strategies to maximize fundraising results.
  • Identify and assess situations that may affect TVO's ability to achieve its annual financial goals.
  • In collaboration with the team, develop and manage mid-level giving program and pipeline, including identification of prospects and creation of cultivation, stewardship and recognition events and initiatives.
  • Ensure observance of best practices in stewardship annual giving and monthly donors
  • Work with internal stakeholders to analyze, recommend, and implement strategies to improve TVO's fundraising data management.
  • Ensure all vendor and supplier agreements meet TVO's corporate and legal requirements.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision to reporting staff, ensuring overall work accuracy and quality.


What you will bring to TVO

  • 3 - 5 years previous experience with fundraising and donor stewardship
  • University undergraduate / post-secondary degree required; in marketing, fundraising or related field would be an asset
  • 3+ years managing an annual giving programs in the non-profit sector
  • Successful track record in leading integrated multi-channel annual giving campaigns from ideation through implementation and reporting
  • Thorough understanding of database management and optimization
  • Experience managing or working in a unionized environment is considered an asset
  • Results oriented, with a proven track record of delivering on goals and achieving revenue targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
