Full Job Description
Overview

The Manager, Data Strategy is both a strategic coordinator and an operational driver for MRCL's data workstream, responsible for progressing the data & engineering projects that fuel the platform's intelligence. This role works deeply with program management to ensure technical projects are executed properly - connecting stakeholders, maintaining accountability, and removing blockers so that strategic ambitions translate into well-executed outcomes. The Manager is a proactive problem-solver with a strong foundation in data concepts and a talent for keeping complex, multi-workstream projects organized, on track, and aligned to broader program goals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day progress of data projects across the MRCL platform, working closely with program management to ensure technical initiatives are properly scoped, tracked, and delivered
  • Serve as a key liaison between engineering and program management, ensuring that technical project requirements are clearly communicated and that execution is aligned to strategic intent
  • Develop and maintain project tracking tools, documentation, and reporting frameworks that provide real-time access to data initiative progress
  • Partner with the VP & Directors, AI & Data Strategy to operationalize the engineering roadmap, ensuring workstreams are sequenced appropriately and resourced effectively
  • Facilitate collaboration between data, engineering, and client-facing teams, ensuring alignment on requirements, timelines, and delivery expectations
  • Support the procurement and onboarding of data sources, tools, and vendors, coordinating across legal, procurement, and technical teams as needed
  • Contribute to the development of data governance practices and standards, helping embed consistent, high-quality data habits across the MRCL program
  • Lead the strategic adoption and operationalization of AI technologies across the MRCL platform, including LLM-powered applications, agentic workflows, and AI services, ensuring scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade deployment.
  • Establish governance and best practices for AI systems, including model lifecycle management, observability, evaluation frameworks, responsible AI standards, and integration with enterprise data and security controls

Qualifications

  • Strong project and program coordination skills with experience managing technical workstreams across multiple stakeholders
  • Solid foundational knowledge of data concepts including data sourcing, governance, and pipeline basics
  • Ability to serve as an effective bridge between technical teams and program management, translating between both worlds fluently
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail - skilled at building and maintaining tracking tools, documentation, and status reporting
  • Proactive communicator who can surface risks and blockers early and drive resolution
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with multiple concurrent priorities
  • Experience working within or alongside data strategy, analytics, or marketing technology functions is a plus
