Full Job Description
Essential Functions

  • Safeguards assets and adhere to the Company's Policies and Procedures.
  • Directs the coordination of the annual budget process for all operating subsidiaries to include developing procedures and guidelines for company executives.
  • Directs the preparation and distribution of monthly consolidating and consolidates financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develops policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure efficiency and proper controls.
  • Responsible for all treasury management functions of all companies including the parent and all subsidiaries.
  • Oversees the daily AML activity by working closely with the Financial Gaming and Control Manager.
  • Oversees AML training by working closely with the Financial Gaming and Control Manager.
  • Reviews all legally required Federal and State tax returns and filings within required deadlines.
  • Directs the analysis, review and presentation of quarterly and year-end financial results to senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Works closely with external auditors and attorneys to complete required external reports efficiently.
  • Works closely with lenders to ensure compliance with all terms of any loan agreements.
  • Ensures effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching and counseling and other personnel related matters are being handled appropriately throughout assigned departments.
  • Facilitates and ensures that performance reviews of all employees within department are complete on a yearly basis.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Essential Requirements

  • Possess the necessary communication skills in both verbal and written aspects to properly relay corporate inquiry relative to financial planning and record keeping.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with staff

  • Ability to access and input information into a computer


Knowledge/Work Experience

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • BA/BS in Accounting or related field; CPA designation or MBA preferred
  • Five (5) years' experience in an accounting/financial management area with three (3) years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Relevant management and accounting experience, gaming accounting preferred
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and laws, gaming and/or racing tax regulations and laws preferred
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the New York State Gaming Commission
