Job Description

Manager of Accounting

Get to Know the Role:

We are entering an exciting phase of growth and technology modernization, and we are looking for a Manager of Accounting to help guide our team through it. In this role, you will lead our global monthly close, partner with our regions on international compliance, and serve as a key champion for our upcoming Oracle Fusion ERP implementation.

This is a highly collaborative, leadership-focused role. You will have the backing of an engaged executive team, a motivated accounting staff, and dedicated implementation partners. If you love building efficient processes, mentoring people, and having a direct seat at the table during a tech transformation, you will thrive here.

What You'll Do:

Championing Our Oracle Fusion Transition
  • Collaborative Launch: Partner closely with our teams and our external consultants to help map, test, and deploy Oracle Fusion. Success means ensuring our team's daily workflows are accurately represented and that the system fits our global needs.
  • Empowering the Team: Act as the internal guide for the accounting team during the rollout, providing them with the training, documentation, and support they need to feel confident using the new platform.

Leading the Global Close & Consolidation Framework
  • Predictable, High-Velocity Close: Direct our global close process, consistently achieving an efficient and accurate multi-entity, multi-currency close.
  • Global Compliance Leadership: Oversee the consolidation model and act as a key partner for international compliance, ensuring seamless coordination on statutory audits across global regions.

Maintaining Financial Integrity & Compliance
  • Trusted Financials: Act as a reliable final checkpoint for our financial statements, ensuring everything is accurate and GAAP-compliant before it goes to leadership.
  • Practical Controls: Maintain a strong, clear SOX and internal controls environment that naturally integrates into our new Oracle workflows without creating unnecessary bottlenecks.

Mentoring a Great Team
  • Supportive Leadership: Lead and develop a talented team of accounting professionals. Success is measured by your ability to coach them through their career growth, set clear goals, and protect their work-life balance during major company milestones.

Insightful Business Partnership
  • Strategic Insights: Team up with FP&A to assist with consolidated budgets and forecasts, and help regional leaders understand their budget-to-actual variances so they can make smart operational decisions.

What You Bring:
  • Education & License: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA required.
  • Experience: 6+ years of progressive corporate or public accounting experience, ideally with some exposure to global, multi-entity environments.
  • Systems & Transformations: You've been through an ERP implementation or a major systems upgrade before and can help us navigate ours (experience with Oracle Fusion is a nice plus, but not a dealbreaker).
  • People First: A proven track record of managing and coaching accounting staff, with a focus on empathy, clarity, and development.
  • Technical Foundations: Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX frameworks.
  • The Right Mindset: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a calm approach to handling deadlines and organizational changes.

Perks: Why You'll Love it Here
  • Generous Associate Discount: Treat yourself to the best our brands offer!
  • Summer Fridays (For Pittsburgh, NYC and Remote Corporate Associates): More time for the sun and the weekend between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
  • Casual Dress Code: Come as you are (and stay comfy).
  • Hybrid Schedule: Enjoy a blend of home-office focus and in-office collaboration.
  • In-Person Connection: While we love our digital tools, we love our people even more! To keep our culture thriving, in-person presence is required at our Pittsburgh headquarters for interviews, orientation, and 1-3 times weekly
  • FOMO (Fun Office Moments Only) Events: Exciting company-wide events you won't want to miss!

Pay/Benefits Information:
  • Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
  • Subject to eligibility requirements, associates may receive health care benefits (including medical, vision, and dental); wellness benefits; 401(k) retirement benefits; life and disability insurance; employee stock purchase program; paid time off; paid sick leave; and parental leave and benefits.
  • Paid Time Off, paid sick leave, and holiday pay vary by job level and type, job location, employment classification (part-time or full-time / exempt or non-exempt), and years of service. For additional information, please click here.
