What You’ll Get to Do
The Manager 3 - Global Trade will lead, guide, and enable the Airborne Multifunction Sensors (AMS) and Mission Next (MNX) Divisions within Mission Systems sector to pursue and execute compliant international business across multiple locations. The person will lead a team of managers and professionals to develop export authorization strategies and implement policies and procedures for all export/import licensing and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the division Global Trade staff to provide transactional support, guidance and training as required for the ongoing success of the business, driving accountability through management via metrics
- Develop and execute licensing & authorization strategies, training, and guidance concerning the requirements, interpretation, and obligations of U.S. export regulations and implementation of such requirements based upon knowledge of the U.S. export regulations and implementation of Northrop Grumman policies and procedures
- Provide day-to-day people and subject matter leadership for the assigned team and create an environment that accelerates development of talent
- Serve as the Empowered Official for transactional compliance with export regulations, license preparation and processing, and the use of exemptions and exceptions in lieu of licensing
- In coordination with Technical Advisors, evaluate jurisdiction and classification of technology, hardware, software and services to identify licensing requirements and ensure appropriate authorizations for export and import are in place (exceptions, licenses)
- Maintain awareness of changing export control laws and regulations and provide analysis regarding applicability and impact to division services and technologies, as well as existing company export policies and procedures
- Provide training and awareness on global trade matters
- In coordination with the Law Department, investigate and support disclosure of potential non-compliance, and development and implementation of effective corrective actions
- Foster team’s engagement with designated Export Technical Advisors
- Establish relationships with key business collaborators and internal customers, including Business Development, Contracts, Global Supply Chain and Programs
- As assigned, lead initiatives related to the development, automation, and continuous improvement of business processes and tools impacting the Global Trade community
- Maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory and company requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of global trade experience (export, import and/or customs) OR a Masters degree with 6 years of global trade experience.
- Will consider an additional 4 years of global trade experience (12 total) in lieu of degree.
- Experience as an Empowered Official
- Proficiency in the ITAR and EAR, including making jurisdiction and classification determinations
- Experience leading and managing a team
- Current US Government Secret security clearance
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with OCR/Descartes EASE software
- Familiarity with USG technology release / Technology Security & Foreign Disclosure requirements
- Familiarity with Northrop Grumman processes, tools and products
- Experience effectively applying U.S. Government regulatory requirements in complex scenarios, analyzing and solving complex problems

Primary Level Salary Range: $137,800.00 - $239,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
