As a Management and Program Analyst
, you will:- Analyze and evaluate programs and operations to identify problems, improve efficiency and effectiveness, and recommend solutions to management.
- Analyze program information and reporting requirements and develops reporting approaches that provide management with reliable information for decision-making.
- Review policies, regulations, procedures, and management practices to assess their impact on operations and recommend improvements to administrative policies and processes.
- Develop program evaluation plans, methods, and procedures to measure performance and improve organizational operations, staffing, and work processes.
- Review administrative controls, audits, and investigative findings to identify needed corrective actions and recommend improvements.
- Provide management with analyses, advice, reports, and briefings on program and administrative issues and recommended courses of action.

The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain this clearance; failure to do so may result in separation from federal service.
- This position is not included in a Bargaining Agreement.
- Occasional travel may be required.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting
2 of the 3 of the following:
- Analyzing and evaluating programs, business operations, or organizational processes to assess effectiveness or efficiency.
- Analyzing quantitative and qualitative information to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions.
- Interpreting policies, regulations, procedures, or other requirements to determine their impact on program or organizational operations.
Education cannot be substituted at the GS-12 grade level. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
