DutiesHelp
- Conducts detailed reviews and analysis of strategic initiatives to improve acquisition, contract, management, and administration for complex projects, IT, and equipment.
- Participates in the preparation of Concept, Project Management, and Implementation Plans to assure resources are properly identified and in compliance with budget and schedule forecasts.
- Monitors the execution of projects in terms of scheduled workload and funding levels to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Analyzes process documentation to produce recommendations to leadership regarding process and organizational improvement.
- Performs special studies and analysis of program and budget requirements, and of the organization of the program management office (PMO).
- Participates in progress review meetings to monitor project schedules and costs, provide status of funds, and coordinate with representatives from other Government agencies and contractors.

- This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce (AWF) position. The employee must meet the DoDI 5000.66 requirements for Program Management, Practitioner Career Level II Certification.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:
1) Experience assisting in the analysis of project requirements to support the development of acquisition and contract management plans;
2) Experience gathering cost and schedule data to help monitor the execution of acquisition projects, such as information technology projects;
AND3) Experience drafting technical publications and briefings for project personnel by compiling information on program and budget requirements.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (
NH-02).
