We are seeking a Management Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Suicide Prevention, working within a dynamic sprint-based delivery model focused on evaluating and improving large-scale public health programs aimed at reducing Veteran suicide. In this role, you will provide expert analytical support to VA leadership, conducting organizational studies, gap analyses, and program effectiveness evaluations to drive meaningful, data-informed improvements in one of the federal government's most critical mental health initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, mission-driven analyst with a strong public health background who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and communicates complex findings clearly to both technical and executive audiences.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert analysis and actionable recommendations to VA management on the effectiveness and efficiency of large-scale public health programs and suicide prevention operations.
  • Plan and conduct organizational studies and gap analyses to identify systemic barriers, capability shortfalls, and opportunities for program improvement within the Office of Suicide Prevention.
  • Design, execute, and synthesize findings from surveys, focus groups, interviews, and other qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques to inform program strategy.
  • Document and deliver clear, concise findings and recommendations through written reports, briefings, and presentations tailored to VA stakeholders and program leadership.
  • Support sprint-based project delivery by contributing to workplan development, milestone tracking, and rapid-cycle analysis tasks in alignment with contract performance objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical, policy, and data subject matter experts to ensure analytical products reflect current VA priorities and evidence-based public health standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in management analysis, program evaluation, or a closely related field, with demonstrated expert-level work in public health programs or operations.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related discipline required.
  • Prior experience supporting federal agency clients, preferably within the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, or HHS/public health-focused programs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain VA facilities access and complete required background investigation; existing suitability determination or PIV eligibility is a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in documenting analytical findings and delivering recommendations through structured reports, executive briefings, or similar professional deliverables.
