Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and assist the Radiologist in intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
  • Produce high-quality films for evaluation by the radiologist.
  • Communicate procedures clearly and educate patients about the importance of regular mammography.
  • Maintain a patient-first focus and demonstrate outstanding customer service skills.
  • Practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique consistently.
  • Complete necessary documentation and perform quality control functions related to mammography.
  • Assist in compiling and maintaining statistical data.

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm

Hourly Rate: $45.00 to $55.00 commensurate with experience

A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist:
  • Provide services and support for the following areas:
    • Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
    • Produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate.
    • Effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health.
    • Maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees.
    • Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique.
    • Complete appropriate documentation.
    • Perform quality control functions related to mammography.
    • Assist in the compilation and maintenance of statistical data.
    • Promote privacy and comfort for the patient.
