This position requires the adjustment of complex aircraft damage claims. The Major Loss Adjuster will function as a key account contact for multiple programs across all sub-classes of Aerospace. The role serves as a technical referral point for North America (NA) Aerospace claim team members and will collaborate with NA Aerospace Claim leaders, Global and NA Aerospace underwriting business leads and stakeholders to deliver a consistent, efficient and customer centric NA Aerospace claim proposition.
- Proactive and efficient management and adjusting of aerospace claims across all sub-classes with a concentration in general aviaton claims requiring industry experience, technical expertise, and account management capabilities.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders as well as global, regional, and local aerospace customers and brokers.
- Identify, and report claim trends, lessons learned and risk management opportunities to Aerospace stakeholders.
- Support underwriting partners in account management and new business development.
- Actively participate in team talent development through internal training programs and informal mentoring.
What you will need to succeed- Strong technical Aerospace claim capability to manage and adjust AIG's NA Aerospace complex aircraft damage and liability claims.
- Technical expertise in managing/minimizing the total cost of complex Aerospace claims.
- Ability to establish strong relationships with NA Aerospace stakeholders, customers, and brokers.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues and problem solve.
- Developed computer proficiency with an aptitude for both common and specialized claims systems programs and applications.
- Self-motivated, ability to manage time and prioritize.
- Willingness to assist in developing teammates' technical aerospace proficiencies.
- Ability to effectively manage vendors, including attorneys and experts to minimize the total cost of Aerospace claims.

For positions based in Illinois, the base salary range is $104,000-$128,000. Compensation for this position includes base salary and eligibility for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
