About the role:The Equipment Maintenance Technician maintains the life cycle of the manufacturing equipment and tools, including installation, calibration, qualification, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance for hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems and injection molding/auxiliary equipment in a manufacturing/production environment. Core equipment includes injection molding machines, molding robots and pickers, oil heaters, temperature controllers, water pumps, chiller systems, and air compressors.
Shift:Compensation: Potential salary range for this role is $34.00-$48.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
What you'll do:- Repair, maintain and troubleshoot injection molding machines, automation, auxiliary equipment, grinders, dryers, etc.
- Dismantle and inspect parts, rebuild and overhaul complete machines and troublesome machine components.
- Repair and maintain molding robotics, hoists, power, and miscellaneous material handling equipment.
- Maintain and repair plant systems to include plumbing, ventilation, exhaust equipment, compressors, etc.
- Perform electrical repairs to machines and equipment. Diagnose electrical / electronic malfunctions.
- Work from machine drawings (electrical, mechanical, etc.), plans, sketches, and layouts.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities on all production equipment in a timely manner. Use precision measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, dividers, levels, micrometers, etc.
- This position may also have responsibility for some facility duties listed under the Facility Technician.
- Other projects and tasks assigned.
Requirements:Education:- High school diploma or equivalency required. Associate's degree or equivalent from a 2-year institute and minimum 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:- Medical device manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
- Injection molding equipment experience is preferred; willingness to be trained on injection molding machines is required.
- Proficient in the following trades or skills: welding (MIG, TIG, Arc), electronics wiring, air compressor diagnostics and repair, machine
shop equipment, hydraulic circuits, and PLC logic very desirable. - Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair production/facility equipment.
Abilities:- Understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
- Effectively prioritize and conduct duties with minimal supervision.
- Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions where limited information exists.
- Read, write and understand English.
- Proficient with documenting work completed in report format.
- Willing to work overtime and weekends as required.

Physical Requirements:- Heavy work: up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, 20 lbs constantly.
- Close visual acuity for computer work, reading, inspection, measurement, and close assembly/fabrication.
- Work in high-noise areas where shouting may be required.
- Work around moving machinery/vehicles, electrical current, heights (scaffolding), high heat, and chemicals.
