Full Job Description
The Role

Our Mitchell Plastics Kitchener facility is looking for a Fully Licensed Millwright on the Afternoon or Night Shift immediately. Consideration will be given to Registered 3rd year 433A Apprentices or higher. The Millwright is a key player in keeping our production floor running and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, "just-in-time" environment. Cooperation with the Maintenance, Production and Continuous Improvement Teams is essential for this position. Candidates must be flexible to work any/all shifts, daily/weekend overtime as required plus rotating on-call duties.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform PM Duties on equipment per PM Schedule.
  • Trouble shoot hydraulic problems and repair.
  • Trouble shoot electrical / electronic problems and repair.
  • Trouble shoot and repair mechanical problems.
  • Record corrective action.
  • Identify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions.
  • Record repairs on PM forms.
  • Provide proper lighting to work areas.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or other Senior Management.


Qualifications and Skills
  • Certified Industrial Millwright 433A Tradesperson
  • minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • minimum 5 years maintenance manufacturing experience - production floor & facilities work (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, equipment relocation, facility installs/upgrades & troubleshooting)
  • experience with hand and power tools
  • ability to read, write & communicate in English
  • excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • self-driven & able to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • excellent team-player with a positive "can-do" attitude & excellent attendance
  • automation and/or experience with paint lines & systems is considered an asset


Job Details:

Hourly Wage: $44.56 + night shift premium of $0.75/hour shift or afternoon shift premium of $0.50/hour

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Location: 100 Washburn Drive, Kitchener, Ontario (on-site)

Hours of Work: Night Shift: 11 pm - 7 am, Sunday night
Thursday Night and/ or Afternoon shift: 3pm - 11pm Monday to Friday
