What you can expect from this position:Reporting to the Manager, Asset Management, this position supports the asset-life cycle management and strategic decision-making ability of ADTS management team through the collection and governing of data from our Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System Maximo. The position will be focused on developing and supporting maintenance strategies and changes to work programs, processes and/or procedures. The role provides functional support, process guidance, analysis,trainingand second-level issue resolution to strengthen system adoption, data integrity, The role is also responsible for providing system advice in effort to drive high reliability from our airport systems and infrastructure using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies.
As a Specialist, Maintenance Systems, you will:- Serve as the primary functional EAM advisor to maintenance, Capital and asset management teams,providingpractical guidance on Maximo processes, system functionality, datarequirementsand effective use of Maximo and Maximo mobile applications.
- Analyze EAM data and reports to identify asset inventory gaps, work program deficiencies, data quality issues, recurringfailuresand opportunities to improve maintenance effectiveness.
- Review work results, coding, completions and feedback for accuracy and completeness; coach users on corrections needed tomaintainreliable operational and management information.
- Facilitate cross-functional working sessions to review process gaps, system issues, operational priorities, reportingneedsand improvement opportunities; document decisions and coordinate agreed actions.
- Support functional testing and validation of EAM configurations, enhancements,interfacesand data loads to confirm compatibility with approved processes and user requirements.
- Review project and contractor deliverables for completeness,formatand alignment with EAM requirements;identifyissues early and work collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve them.Provide guidance and support to Capital and O&M project managers, vendor(s) and/or consultant(s) teams to ensure understanding of system requirements, objective timelines, and formats.
- Partner with Functional Managers, supervisors, planners, technicalspecialistsand field users to understand business needs, clarifyaccountabilitiesand translate requirements into standardized EAM processes and system solutions.Guide Functional and Asset Management managers to ensure that all their assets and work program requirements are adequately collected in the EAM system.
- Identify gaps in asset inventory, work programs and/or potential opportunities for efficiencies through EAM reporting and analysis>
- Provide system advice and administrative support in developing and implementing action plans with the Functional and Asset Managers Teams to address gaps and/or potential opportunities for efficiencies in work programs, asset inventory and/or work programs.
- Create, modify and govern EAM master data, including locations, assets, classifications, attributes, job plans, task descriptions, failure classes, work templates and related records.Support thedesign, implementation,executionand continuous improvement of maintenance work programs, including preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, job plans, taskdescriptions, frequencies,schedulesand failure reporting. Ensure compliance to GTAA Hierarchy, Classification, and SCBD standards when adding or updating assets within the system to support true cost of ownership reporting, accurate asset reliability analysis and maintain a consistent database structure.
- Set up and modify EAM system partner shift schedules according to established parameters to align all users within various business units to their role and crew within the system.
- Create work orders for change evaluations, asset activation/deactivation, location/structure class creation, maintenance projects, commissioning, walk-down, inspections.Lead and provide partner support in the development of work programs for GTAA vendors/service contractors.
- Develops and provides summary analysis of EAM system reports for Risk Management, Shift Mangers, Functional Managers, Supervisors and all Business units.
- Reviews work results for ambiguities, changes to inventory, and comments. Reports all work accomplishment for compliance with standards adjusting as necessary.
- Develop role-based job aids,proceduresand training materials, and deliver coaching or training that enables users to complete their work accurately and consistently.
This unionized position is classified at the Band 7 level, with an hourly wage rate of $47.35, based on a 37.5 hour work week. As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to complete a test.
This is the role for you, if you have:- Experience with complex EAM software programs and a general understanding of planning, scheduling and reporting related to maintenance, asset management, airport operations and facilities management.
- Strong working knowledge of maintenance and asset management processes, including work identification, planning, scheduling, execution, closeout, preventive maintenance, job plans, failurereportingand asset life-cycle information.
- Experience with database organization, configuration and setup.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets,identifydataor processissuesand present practical recommendations using tools suchas SQL, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with software implementation and access permission assignment/control.
- A valid class "G" Ontario Driver's license is required.
- Minimum an OSSGD Secondary School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years of experience in a Maintenance Systems position.
- Able to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance.

Ability to effectively develop a training presentation on various aspects of the EAM system and deliver it in a professional, knowledgeable manner using the appropriate medium (in-person, online, job aid). Excellent oral and written skills.
- Strong customer service and influencing skills are required to gather and understand the needs of customers and, translate and articulate those needs into a properly structured work plan that satisfies customer and EAM system requirement while supporting decision-based reporting and true cost of ownership data.
- Ability to balance available resources against work requirements and develop recommendations to optimize the use of resources.
- Proficient user knowledge of the EAM system application, including the mobile solution.
- Ability to use current versions of software packages such as Excel, PowerPoint (Office suite) to analyze large data sets, prepare data for presentation, etc.
- Knowledge of Airport organizational structure & the airport facilities including but not limited to locations, tenants, leased boundaries, and contractors' areas of responsibilities to identify problems and develop solutions through database setup and configuration.
- A working knowledge of various Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural and Pavement and Grounds equipmentis required.
- Knowledge of Airport Specific Applications: Wings, Map Viewer, and Bentley Project Wise with the ability to read and or create electronic area or site drawing files.
- Knowledge of and ability to identify requirements for, safety regulations, fire and building codes, security measures, and other government regulations.
- Knowledge of Maximo and CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) applications to research, analyze and report relevant information on incidents and events.
- Work requires a high degree of social skills in explaining and discussing technical information with Functional Managers, engineers, trades technicians and others to ensure proper setup of the assets/system.
- Work requires responding to inquiries regarding work requests, policies and procedures while coordinating and communicating with internal and external clients in order to provide excellent customer service applying tact, subtlety and courtesy.
