Job descriptionPosition Title: Maintenance SupervisorReports To: Maintenance ManagerOverview of Position:The Maintenance Supervisor will be an integral part of the site's leadership. The Maintenance Supervisor will support the Maintenance Manager, the maintenance team, overall maintenance efficiencies, and most importantly, its workforce as it relates to employee engagement, employee retention, and morale.
Primary Responsibilities:Performs a variety of duties in support of the operation of Phoenix Services, LLC. The job consists of providing maintenance services and related equipment to the Phoenix fleet. Responsible to act in accordance with the policies and procedures of Phoenix Services, LLC and its customers.
- Compliance with all Phoenix Services, LLC Safety Policies & Procedures, including wearing specific Personal Protective Equipment required for various job functions
- Compliance with all Phoenix Services, LLC Standard Operating Procedures
- Attendance at Mandatory monthly Safety Meetings
- Housekeeping and safe handling of materials and equipment must be exercised at all times
- Exercise and implement proper lifting and carrying techniques when moving packaging materials
- Planning work schedules and resource deployment
- Performing quality control and quality assurance
- Managing and supervising shifts
- Delegating general and preventative maintenance on Transportation units (e.g., excavators, Taylor Stacker loaders, transport vehicles, etc.) into service.
- Handling components, modules, and systems of Transportation units
- Documentation of all completed work
- Tracking of all parts and lubricant consumed.
- Observing relevant safety, accident prevention, and environmental regulations

Work Environment:This job takes place in a Steel Mill setting requiring a sense of high-level safety reverence using the required PPE for the environment. This job also requires routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and listen in potentially noisy indoor and outdoor environments. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk on both flat and uneven surfaces; sit; climb stairs; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the employee to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Qualifications:- High School diploma or GED equivalent, preferred
- Experience and knowledge with technical equipment and machinery; background in heavy diesel mobile equipment
- Two years or more of supervisory experience in a heavy industrial environment
- Strong aptitude and knowledge of steel mill operations and heavy mobile equipment are required
- Knowledge of scheduling, staffing, and adapting to constant required operational adjustments.
- Focus and concern with employee safety and equipment care, to prevent incidents.
- Responsible leadership, Strong communication skills, Capable of working well with other departments.
- Readiness to work flexible working hours and shift work
- Reliability, enthusiasm, interest in teamwork
- Willingness to adapt to Phoenix Services, LLC's culture of Customer Relations - always working with our customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Dependable and able to show up to work when scheduled.

Compensation and BenefitsBase pay $82,000 to $90,000 annually.
Annual performance bonus target 10%.
