Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage facilities projects and renovations
  • Ensure safety inspections are completed and discrepancies corrected
  • Supervise maintenance staff and respond to facility needs

Maintenance Supervisor | Carson, CA

Regular Employee | Salary Exempt | $95,000.00 - 100,000.00

What you'll do:

TheMaintenance Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing and coordinatingthe maintenance of all company equipment, buildings, and property, as well assupporting new construction, and building alterations.
• Inspectcompany equipment, buildings, and property
• Providea sense of urgency to production disruptions
• Overseemaintenance of offices, production areas, public areas, equipment,refrigeration units, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, emergencygenerators, plumbing, water treatment, electric systems, etcetera
• Developand implement preventive maintenance program
• Ensureall maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective mannerand according to all specifications
• Planthe utilization of space and facilities, inspecting buildings and office areasto evaluate suitability for occupancy
• Conductpre-planning and coordination activities for facilities project, additions,and/or change such as obtaining cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, andcontracts for construction, etcetera
• Workwith staff/managers regarding maintenance/facility's needs; ensure timelyresponse to requests
• Reviewand/or develop renovation and new construction plans; coordinate communicationwith and work of outside contractors
• Ensureall fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies corrected
• Workingin conjunction with EH&S, confirm all property follows safety andsanitation policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Superviseworkers engaged in moving equipment, preparing facilities for occupancy byworking with outside vendors, maintenance and repair of equipment, buildings,and property.
• Possessand maintain thorough knowledge of city and state building codes and all local,state, and federal regulations
• Develop,implement, and monitor department budget and manage expenses within approvedbudget constraints
• Prepareall required reports and correspondence
• Solvecomplex problems with minimal assistance
• Communicatewith cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales,etcetera) to resolve issues
• Superviseassociates engaged in maintenance activities as needed
• Othertasks as assigned

What you need to be successful:
• HS Diploma or GED required (Associate or Bachelor's degree inrelated field preferred)
• Minimumof 5 years related experience with demonstrated leadership skills
• Self-motivatedwith the ability to stay on task
• Innovativeteam player
• Intermediatecomputer skills are required
• Proficientin Microsoft Office Suite

• Soundjudgment with the ability to make timely, and sometimes difficult, decisions
