Summary

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll manage and mentor a skilled maintenance team, plan and execute all maintenance activities, and keep production running at peak efficiency while championing safe work practices. You'll own preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and coordinate rebuilds or replacements to minimize downtime. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives on solving technical challenges, developing talent, and driving reliable, high-performing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $116,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

In addition to the base salary, Perdue offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/Rx, 401(k) with employer match after 1 year, critical illness, accident insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, optional group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability protection, flexible spending accounts and paid time off.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure all plant equipment is in top operating condition and available for production as needed.
  • Organize and plan regular maintenance work on all equipment and systems within the plant.
  • Review preventive procedures and evaluate and maximize maintenance processes by collaborating with operations departments to identify problems and requirements.
  • Supervise maintenance associates and ensure compliance with company safety regulations, minimizing personal injury risks, environmental impact, and asset damage.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal codes and regulations.
  • Select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline staff.
  • Evaluate the functionality and reliability of facility systems and equipment. Improve system performance by studying results and identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent technical education.
  • 0-3 years of related experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Troubleshooting ability and technical knowledge of production, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.


Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies and access files, supplies, and equipment.


When in a plant environment:
  • Exposure to wet and moist floors, including metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • Exposure to temperatures ranging from 28°F to 100°F with ambient and 100% humidity.
  • Handling product at 25°F to 50°F.
  • Exposure to noise levels ranging from 50 dB to 110 db.
  • Exposure to chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facilities.
  • Frequent exposure to large commercial vehicles, including tractors and trailers.
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment as required.
