ONLY CURRENT MTA/NYC TRANSIT ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISORS ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY (MULTIPLE VACANCIES EXIST)

Responsibilities:

Under general supervision and with broad scope for the exercise of independent judgment, this position will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with NYC Transit Radio and Security Systems. Responsibilities include designing, scheduling, and conducting training on various Radio, CCTV and Security systems, creating Preventive and Remedial Maintenance procedures. The incumbent will also perform administrative and technical tasks as required; including updating the department's shared drive, conducting employee evaluations; supporting existing Radio, CCTV and Security systems, in house contracts, Capital Contracts and other RSS assets in both current and future; supervise in-house installations and storerooms; ordering materials and equipment; and provide supervisory oversight of Level I Supervisors to ensure safe and efficient 24X7 operations.

1st Year $112,448

2nd Year $114,057

3rd Year $118,067

License Requirement
A motor vehicle driver licenses valid in the State of New York with no restrictions which would preclude the performance of Maintenance Supervisor (Electronic Equipment) work. This license must be maintained for the duration of employment.

Education and Experience:
Five (5) years of full-time satisfactory experience in the maintenance department of a major railroad or transit authority repairing and maintaining electronic communication or control systems; at least one (1) year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.

Desired Skills:
• Experience conducting training on Radio, CCTV, Security and Network equipment.
• Experience creating preventive and remedial maintenance procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of working in an operating environment, responsible for the maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components, test equipment, procedures, and EAM database.
• Working knowledge of NYCT Rules, regulations, operations, and safety procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in various PC applications including MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
