Wollaston Alloys/CPP Boston is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team! Reporting to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor works closely with positions across the organization such as Engineers, Maintenance Mechanics and technical contractors, managing and assisting in the completion of day-to-day activities, involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery including HVAC, lighting systems, ovens, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance.
Responsibilities:
- Manages, supervises and executes maintenance as well as support activities.
- Manages the CMMS system by creating both emergency and preventative maintenance work orders, assigning work orders and following up to ensure completion.
- Supports site environmental conformance as well as hazardous material programs.
- Assist in maintaining adequate inventories of tools, supplies and parts to accurately repair all equipment.
- Ensures machinery is inspected with respect to safety issues inclusive but not restricted to ground and trip hazards, non-functioning lights, broken pieces along with exposed wiring.
- Works closely with the Maintenance & Facilities Manager to plan and manage capex projects that improve plant performance and safety.
- Addresses maintenance issues in timely way working with maintenance staff.
- Ensures department compliance to company safety and security standards, procedures and policies.
- Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
Qualifications
- 1+ years supervisory experience in an industrial maintenance environment - preferably manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge of systems (electrical, heating, HVAC, PLC etc.)
- Proficient MS Office suite of software (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point. etc.)
- Ability to multi-task is critical for this position
- Excellent written, verbal & presentation communications skills
- Strong commitment and focus on safety
