Full Job Description
Air Products has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Supervisor at its Port Arthur, TX facility. The Maintenance Supervisor will offer leadership, direction, and mentorship to the Maintenance Team while encouraging a skilled, continuously improving, and high-performing workforce. This role is passionate about safety, equipment integrity, reliability, and operational efficiency to support Air Products' business objectives. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all maintenance activities at the Port Arthur and Westlake facilities. This role is accountable for the safety, performance, and development of the Maintenance Technicians and reports directly to the Area Maintenance Superintendent. Collaborate with these groups to ensure maintenance execution readiness from a maintenance planning/resourcing and operations equipment readiness perspective. • Mentor, support growth, and deliver feedback to front line leadership to strengthen leadership abilities, technical proficiency, communication, and resource management. • Support front line leadership in development, progression, mentoring, and providing feedback for improvement for maintenance technicians. • Align with maintenance performance metrics such as PM compliance, Compliance Management, maintenance backlog, monthly spending vs budget and safety program participation. Ensure 100% alignment with regulatory and very high priority maintenance activities. Stay abreast of policies and procedures and ensure alignment. • Collaborate with technical engineering support teams to develop innovative solutions for maintenance issues. Also, work on capital project recommendations for end-of-life assets and build upgrades. • Support the PROS Team in scope development and technical resource assignment as required. Support required leadership audits and safety reviews. • Responsible for warehousing activities ensuring materials management. Responsible for inventory management activities for HYCO spares inventory stored in the region’s facilities both onsite and offsite. • This position involves safety-sensitive responsibilities. Qualifications: • Degree in technical trade school for instrumentation, mechanical, electrical, or Military technical training is a plus. Relative experience will be given strong consideration in lieu of formal education. • 5+ years in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment with maintenance, and/or operations roles is desired. Prior supervisory experience is a plus. Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills are critical to the position. • Strong leadership abilities coupled with excellent broad-based technical skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills and sharp business insight. • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills are a must. Abilities in project management as well as experience crafting and implementing structured work processes are a plus for this role. • Previous experience in managing and developing budgets is advantageous. • Strong SAP skills are a requirement.
