Full Job Description
The Maintenance Supervisor of the Beverage department will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the workers who maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical, and other production/processing equipment. They may be responsible for evaluating problematic systems or facilities and determining which installation or repair services are needed. The Reliability Supervisor must also keep Safety and Quality in mind when all tasks are performed by them or those they are responsible for overseeing. Job Description • Supervise daily maintenance activities across aseptic processing and filling areas • Assign and prioritize work based on production demand, food safety risk, and equipment criticality • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and oversight to maintenance mechanics • Ensure breakdowns and emergency repairs are executed safely and efficiently • Participate in shift handovers and daily downtime reviews • Ensure all employees are trained and following all company, OSHA safety programs. • Ensure all employees are following GMP policies and procedures. • Ensure all employees are following all required GFSI, FDA, USDA, Third Party Audit, and company procedures and policies related to food safety. • Supervises and assigns the work of maintenance employees. • Inspects work for completeness. • Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Transfers equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessary. • Keeps time cards and other routine records. • Coordinates or installs, inspects, repairs and maintains the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems in Beverage department. • Coordinates and inspects major contract work on mechanical and other related systems. Qualifications • Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees and vendors/contractors. • Ability to install, inspect, repair and maintain the basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, and other related systems. • Understanding of aseptic systems, CIP/COP, and sanitation practices • Blueprint and schematic literacy (mechanical and electrical) • Understands the functionality and application of a CMMS (preferably Oracle eAM) • Ability to perform various clean-up and maintenance tasks as needed. • Ability to update inventories and other supplies as needed. • Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions. • Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • High school diploma or equivalent; technical education preferred • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food or beverage manufacturing • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred • Experience with aseptic or high-hygiene operations strongly preferred Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
