Project Overview:

Port Arthur LNG is a proposed natural gas liquefaction and export terminal in Southeast Texas with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. At peak construction, the project expects to create over 5,000 jobs. At full capacity, this LNG project will include two natural gas liquefaction trains capable of producing, under optimal conditions, up to approximately 13.5 million tons per annum for export around the world.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance specialist is responsible for directing the overall maintenance program for CSU which include planning, scheduling, conducting or coordinating all maintenance activities through all phases including pre-commissioning, commissioning and operations. This includes reviews for plant operability and safety and jobsite pre-commissioning and commissioning assignments as directed.

  • Responsible for the preparation of the maintenance procedures, as well as managing their issuance, and record quality in the maintenance software.
  • Plan, guide, or prepare project administrative and technical documents as required for startup, maintenance, operation, or testing.
  • Monitors the performance of equipment such that they are maintained within design and implements a preventative maintenance program to avoid inadvertent shutdown and failure of equipment.
  • Conducts, reviews and maintains all applicable maintenance records.
  • Manages the maintenance spares and consumables requirements.
  • Train assigned personnel.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Implementation of procedures and instructions for maintenance activities and ensures that all regulatory requirements and standards are complied with.
  • Supervises and provides technical and administrative supervision.
  • Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs maintenance activities for the assigned project.
  • Provides maintenance supervision or assistance at the jobsite as assigned.
  • Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs required maintenance baseline information programs and input
  • Establishes maintenance activity input and records into the project specified maintenance management system
  • Participates in budget forecast preparation activities as required.
  • Prepares or directs the preparation of maintenance work plans.
  • Ensures that work being performed is within scope of services and within budget.
  • Reviews and approves key maintenance methods, procedures, and schedules on assigned project(s).
  • Prepares material requisitions for maintenance related activities.
  • Assists field procurement in inspection and receipt of materials.
  • Ensures mechanical equipment is stored and maintained in accordance with manufacturer's requirements and maintains documentation for procedures.
  • Troubleshoots maintenance and resolves maintenance issues with engineering and/or vendor.
  • Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces.
  • Ensure storage and maintenance records are filed and retained in accordance with project requirements.
  • Perform routine material storage inspections and recommend improvements, as required.


Education and Experience Requirements:
