As a Maintenance Planning Specialist - Electrical, you will be at the heart of our daily operations, ensuring that every electrical maintenance activity is thoughtfully coordinated and executed. This position will be accountable for developing electrical maintenance work plans per the Operation Directed Maintenance (ODM) Work Process, generating accurate job packages and cost estimates, and creating task lists for repeatable electrical jobs utilizing SAP. What You'll Do • Develop and manage detailed schedules and plans for routine electrical maintenance, overhauls, and inspections to optimize equipment use and minimize downtime. • Collaborate with electrical engineering and operations teams to review proposals, resolve priorities, and ensure electrical maintenance activities align with plant goals and regulatory standards. • Create accurate electrical job packages, estimate labor and materials, and build task libraries for repeatable electrical jobs using SAP and other planning tools. • Analyze completed electrical work, update maintenance histories, and monitor multiuse electrical components to maintain precise asset records and support continuous improvement. • Partner with electrical craftspeople and supervisors to critique and refine plans, ensuring each job is executed efficiently and safely. • Support turnaround planning, manage electrical maintenance documentation, and communicate job status to schedulers. • Help implement quality assurance initiatives, comply with all safety and regulatory requirements, and provide guidance on complex electrical maintenance issues. • Leverage your electrical technical expertise and commitment to excellence to contribute to a productive, safe, and collaborative work environment. What Makes You Stand Out - Preferred • 5 or more years of electrical field experience, executing routine maintenance or project work in the Energy industry • 5 or more years of maintenance planning experience related to job package development, field walks, safety, craft knowledge, materials ordering, and logistics, • Ability to read, interpret and apply information from files, electrical drawings, data sheets, catalogs, reports and manuals. • Proficiency in SAP for the ODM work process (MM, PM, PS modules) and Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Proficiency in SAP for maintenance planning, scheduling and execution and Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Ability to plan multi-craft jobs • Working knowledge of electrical engineering best practices, National Electric Code, OSHA safety standards and procedures • Able to read and perform material take-offs from isometrics and equipment drawings • Understands and uses functional expertise to contribute to the success of the business Compensation Range This position has a base salary range of $127,800 - $156,200. The Bayway Refinery is located on the New York Harbor in Linden, New Jersey. Bayway's facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, solvent deasphalting, hydrodesulfurization and alkylation units. The complex also includes a polypropylene plant with the capacity to produce up to 775 million pounds per year. The refinery processes mainly light and medium, low-sulfur crude oil. Foreign crude oil is supplied to the refinery by tanker, and domestic crude oil is supplied through a combination of rail and marine transportation. The refinery produces a high percentage of transportation fuels, as well as petrochemical feedstocks, residual fuel oil and home heating oil. Refined products are distributed to East Coast customers by pipeline, barge, rail car and truck.
