Location:

  • This position will be located in Durham, NC and will be an onsite role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule maintenance and calibration activities aligned with production timelines
  • Develop and maintain accurate equipment records and maintenance plans
  • Coordinate technicians, contractors, and resources to execute planned work efficiently
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance and reliability teams
  • Analyze and prioritize work orders based on urgency, complexity, and available resources
  • Collaborate with production teams to align maintenance with operational needs

  • Monitor maintenance performance and generate reports for leadership review
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, cost optimization, and equipment reliability initiatives

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field with two years of experience, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience in a manufacturing or technical environment, preferably within biopharmaceutical operations
  • Hands-on experience with biopharmaceutical processing equipment and systems
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance planning methodologies
  • Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience applying reliability centered maintenance principles to manufacturing equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause failure analysis and implement effective solutions
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams

Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary:

The salary for this position is expected to range between $32.12 and $59.62 per hour.

The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.

Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.

US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
