ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • MISSION / SUMMARY: This position is critical to the planning of outage work and managing work backlog for the Utilities area.
    JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.
    • Fill in for supervisor over the Power and Recovery EI crew.
    • Actively leads and participates in safety, quality, housekeeping, and lean manufacturing strategies.
    • Coordinate routine shift maintenance tasks as needed.
    • Determine and coordinate contractor needs for weekly and outage work.
    • Provide leadership with problem-solving strategies and execution of key performance objectives.
    BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
    • Five (5) years of industrial EI experience.
    • Industrial EI planning/supervising experience in the pulp and paper industry preferred.
    EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
    • High School Education or equivalent + 5 years of related experience.
    SPECIFIC SKILLS:
    • Ability to prioritize items to complete required tasks prior to deadlines.
    • This position requires key competencies that include: an individual with strong communication and problem solving skills, demonstrated leadership and collaboration in a team environment, persistence and enthusiasm to get the job done, planning and organizational skills, analytical thinking skills, strategic planning, quality orientation and a commitment to excellence, and superior interpersonal people skills. The successful candidate must exhibit proven ability to self-manage in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
