Progesys is looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our team. The Senior Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking multidisciplinary work-including capital projects, maintenance, and support activities. This role ensures accurate work order management in Oracle CMMS, supports materials procurement, and facilitates communication across technical and operational teams.
Responsibilities- Develop detailed weekly, shutdown, and long-range maintenance plans for fixed plant environment.
- Build and maintain maintenance schedules using CMMS systems and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Power Bi, Oracle etc.
- Coordinate daily and weekly planning meetings with operations, maintenance, and reliability teams.
- Prioritize work orders based on safety, production impact, risk, and equipment criticality.
- Organize and lead weekly coordination meetings to finalize the maintenance schedule.
- Prepare and monitor maintenance budgets for OPEX and CAPEX projects.
- Coordinate with warehouse and supply chain teams to ensure material availability.
- Review preventive maintenance requests and create bills of materials for assets.
- Mentor junior planners and maintenance coordinators.
- Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance KPI reports & Develop dashboards and tracking tools using Excel and Power BI.
- Ensure all maintenance plans comply with site safety standards and regulations.
- Ensure project scopes of work are created, scheduled, and executed.
- Ability to work in fast-paced operational environments with minimal supervision.
Required Skills- Mechanical or electrical - Instrumentation engineering / technician degree, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of maintenance planning experience in mining or heavy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
- Fixed plant mining environment experience.
- Project management skills and proficiency with planning software (e.g., Oracle CMMS, SAP PM, Microsoft Project).
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong Leadership, communication and interpersonal relationship management skills.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and KPI management.
- Ability to work in rotation schedules and remote (camp) environments.
