Position Summary

As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining the overall performance of the facility and all equipment within the Plant or on Plant Grounds. You'll be responsible for the overall effectiveness of the SAP maintenance system, editing, planning and scheduling of work orders and PM's, and ensuring timely execution of work that is of the highest level of quality. In this role, you'll also provide relief supervision to maintenance mechanics, which may include weekend and evening responsibilities, as needed.

  • Confers with engineers and maintenance personnel regarding crew make-up, systems design, parts inventory, and scheduling priority to plan the construction, installation and maintenance of the facility and systems.
  • Manage the SAP maintenance system, from establishing equipment to cost reporting and training new mechanics on how to use the SAP system.
  • Manage preventative maintenance system by creating work orders and scheduling, editing, and creating new PM's.
  • Gathers information needed to effectively plan maintenance tasks and coordinate equipment downtime with production and other departments.
  • Estimate maintenance times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions regarding organizational budget.
  • Publish weekly maintenance schedule and provide support to technical store operations as needed.


Other Responsibilities
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in carrying out department objectives utilizing knowledge of company purposes, rules, regulation, procedures, and practices. Plans, conducts, arranges and supervises training of personnel. Reviews leave requests, evaluate personnel performance, and initiates disciplinary actions. May also interview job applicants.
  • Reviews department's work load, schedules, status of on-going work, projects, and available personnel for work assignment in order to plan unit activities. Also observes personnel engaged in construction, installation, and preventative and routine maintenance on machinery and systems at a food manufacturing facility.
  • Assigns specific duties to personnel, conducts investigations or research, writes technical, informative or operational reports, works on special projects, and attends and conducts meetings as required. Reviews reports, papers, and other records prepared by personnel for clarity, completeness, accuracy, and conformance with company policies. Routes approved reports and records to appropriate personnel.

The approximate pay range for this position is $66,000 to $107,000 annually. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
