Responsibilities

  • Identify labor, materials, tools, safety, and QA/QC requirements for maintenance work orders.
  • Order necessary materials and ensure they are onsite before scheduling work.
  • Create requisitions for parts and services for planned maintenance work.
  • Construct weekly maintenance work schedule based on work orders and production availability.
  • Schedule 3rd party contractors and communicate scope of work.
  • Manage SAP work order backlog and prioritize workload with operations counterparts.
  • Lead weekly planning and scheduling meetings.
  • Update Bills of Materials (BOMs) for plant equipment and maintain standard job plans.
  • Collaborate with the Reliability Engineer to assess the execution of the PM program.

Job Highlights
• Identifying labor, materials, tools, safety, and QA/QC requirements for maintenance work orders, and assembly of this information into a job plan package utilizing SAP.
• Ensures needed materials are ordered and onsite prior to the scheduling of work.
• Creates requisitions for parts and services for planned work.
• Construction of the weekly maintenance work schedule by reviewing selected ready to schedule work orders and comparing them to the production schedule and available manpower to determine the optimum time to schedule the work.
• Responsible for scheduling 3rd party contractors and providing them the scope of work.
• Facilitates active management of the SAP work order backlog by coordinating with operations counterparts to continuously prioritize work within the plant operating context.
• Leads weekly planning & scheduling meetings.
• Creates and updates Bills of Materials (BOMs) for plant equipment.
• Create and update standard job plans to allow for consistent and efficient planning of work.
• Works with the Reliability Engineer to monitor execution performance of the PM program.

Experience / Skills

  • Education Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with the execution of maintenance activities in an industrial setting is required; demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling in an industrial environment is strongly preferred.
  • Background as a maintenance technician in an industrial environment is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft software including Excel.
  • Experience with SAP Asset Management Module Preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build consensus and foster a positive working environment.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate meetings.
