Company Overview:

Northwest Adhesives, Inc was recently acquired by The Willamette Valley Company and is a well-established industrial adhesive manufacturer with over 30 years of success in producing high-performance hot melt and water-based adhesives. We proudly serve the packaging, labeling, and product assembly industries and maintain a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and customer service. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our site leadership team and oversee the maintenance and reliability of our production equipment and facility.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of equipment maintenance, repair, and facility support to ensure continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing lines. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance. The Maintenance Manager plays a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting process improvements, and leading internal and external resources related to maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep all primary production equipment functioning.
  • Schedule and perform all routine and preventative maintenance repairs to equipment.
  • Arrange/coordinate outside contract work for facility maintenance.
  • Manage equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications in coordination with production goals.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, work orders, and parts inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance to production staff on equipment care.
  • Demonstrate leadership for teamwork, respect all employees, and portray a positive attitude.
  • Assist in design, layout, or redesign of equipment and processes for efficiency improvements.
  • Provide on-call or emergency support as needed to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related experience in a maintenance technician or maintenance management role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical skills, including experience with pumps, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Proficient with tools, measurement equipment, and basic fabrication.
  • Comfortable using computers or mobile devices for maintenance records and communication.


Preferred Skills (But Not Required):

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for occasional off-site service work
  • 1 to 2 years of welding and fabrication experience.
  • Experience working with hot melt adhesive systems or industrial process equipment.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, WISHA, and other relevant safety standards.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • Occasional after-hours support required in emergency situations
