Job Description

SUMMARY

Plans, directs and coordinates all facilities and maintenance operations and activities concerned with equipment, machinery and facilities and grounds by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff. Ensures that maintenance department objectives including project, cost quality and safety factors are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)

Manager maintenance related activities within the facility including capital equipment installation, repair and maintenance.

Manage and maintain building, grounds and related systems.

Forecast budget requirements and the monitor expenses.

Drive operational cost reductions.

Initiate and implement activities to drive continuous improvement with better processes and equipment.

Maintain the environmental compliance system.

OTHER JOB DUTIES

Implement continuous improvement activities to improve machine uptime and reliability, lower overall maintenance costs and improve operational productivity and safety.

Develop, plan and implement all facilities projects obtaining quotes, developing timelines and coordinating execution of those projects.

Have ownership of the environmental plan, monitor compliance and keep required documentation and testing up to date.

Maintain the fixed asset system so that all assets are properly tagged and tracked.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages subordinate personnel and leads in all shifts in Maintenance Dept. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in a technical discipline; and minimum 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in Project Management, Total Preventative Maintenance and exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5-S, Kaizen events and Six Sigma.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees or organization.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $106,000 to $159,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 3X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
