Maintenance Manager

ASC, a subsidiary of Air Distribution Technologies, Inc., is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our manufacturing facility in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

ASC's Ponca City facility is a critical Tier 2 manufacturing operation within our network and is currently undergoing a significant operational turnaround focused on improving safety, reliability, productivity, quality, and profitability. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact by leading maintenance and reliability initiatives that support sustainable operational improvements within a fast-paced, private equity-owned environment focused on driving results and continuous improvement.

The Maintenance Manager will provide leadership for all maintenance, facilities, and reliability activities within the plant. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing maintenance strategies that maximize equipment uptime, improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reduce unplanned downtime, and support operational excellence initiatives. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader capable of building team accountability, driving preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and creating a culture focused on reliability and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team, including maintenance technicians, electricians, and support personnel.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement throughout the maintenance organization.
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Establish maintenance planning and scheduling processes to maximize labor efficiency and equipment availability.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain teams to achieve plant performance objectives.
  • Lead root cause analysis activities utilizing methodologies such as 5-Why, Fishbone, and Failure Analysis to eliminate recurring equipment issues.
  • Monitor and improve key reliability metrics including OEE, MTBF, MTTR, PM completion rates, and downtime performance.
  • Manage facility infrastructure, utilities, compressed air systems, HVAC systems, and overall plant maintenance activities.
  • Oversee maintenance-related capital projects, equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventories, and maintenance expenditures.
  • Support lean manufacturing, operational excellence, and turnaround initiatives focused on driving EBITDA improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading maintenance teams and managing maintenance operations in industrial manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance, and CMMS systems.
  • Demonstrated success improving equipment reliability, uptime, and maintenance performance metrics.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets and maintenance-related capital projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.


Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 7+ years of maintenance leadership experience in fabrication, metalworking, assembly, industrial equipment, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working within a turnaround, transformation, or underperforming manufacturing facility.
  • Previous experience in a private equity-owned company with a focus on KPI improvement, cost reduction, and EBITDA performance.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Reliability, or CMRP certification.
  • Experience with automation, robotics, PLCs, controls systems, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of welding, fabrication, paint, assembly, and material handling equipment.
  • Multi-site manufacturing or plant startup experience.


Work Environment

This position is based primarily in a manufacturing facility environment. The Maintenance Manager will regularly work around industrial equipment, machinery, forklifts, welding operations, and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities may require prolonged standing, walking throughout the facility, climbing stairs and ladders, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required in designated production areas. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
