Full Job Description
Your role
The Maintenance Manager oversees all aspects of fleet maintenance, ensuring that vehicles and equipment are in optimal condition to support safe and reliable operations. This role requires a deep understanding of vehicle maintenance and a commitment to operational efficiency. The role will include:
  • Ensure fleet compliance with government regulations, including 30-day inspections and CVIP standards.
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs in alignment with required intervals and company standards.
  • Maintain maintenance records, regulatory documentation, and reporting tools.
  • Coordinate repairs, parts procurement, and vendor management.
  • Support cost control through lifecycle planning, maintenance efficiency, and budget adherence.
  • Ensure roadworthiness and minimize service-impacting breakdowns.
  • Lead and manage frontline supervisors and team of mechanics.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry, client reporting, and operations support, through close review of work orders and team performance.
  • Attend and actively participate in weekly or daily client, GM, and regional calls as required.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work culture, including employee relations, equipment/tool condition, incident reporting, and near-miss reporting.
  • Ensure all maintenance staff maintain current certifications and receive required training for equipment, vehicles, repair processes, and diagnostics.
  • Comply with all regulatory, company, and lessor environmental requirements.
  • Ensure timely review of purchase orders and invoice variances as required.
  • Ensure vehicles servicing all project contracts meet client-specific requirements.
  • Oversee proper care, maintenance, and repair of leased facilities per lease agreements, including property condition monitoring, repair coordination, and compliance to protect company assets and mitigate liability.
  • Maintain oversight of operational costs and budget compliance, ensuring all maintenance activities are cost-effective while supporting service delivery.

Your profile
  • 5 to 10 years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, transportation, facilities, or related environment.
  • 2 to 5 years of supervisory or management experience leading maintenance teams, contractors, or technical staff.
  • Proven experience with:
    • Preventive and predictive maintenance programs
    • Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
    • Equipment troubleshooting and repair
    • Budget management and cost control
    • Health and safety compliance
    • CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
    • Capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a high-performing maintenance team.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to equipment reliability and downtime prevention.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
