Job Type:RegularUnder the authority of the Plant Director, the role of the Maintenance Manager is to manage the maintenance team and the thermal power plant to support operations and structure our approach to achieve the performance of our equipment. He will have to define and deploy approaches, methodologies, and operational excellence tools to create added value with his teams. He oversees the preparation, design, and execution of projects with his teams; participates in and deploys the plant's reliability, innovation, and productivity strategy; carries out plant investments and creates our client-supplier standards. He must support the operations managers and the maintenance team on the ground in the implementation of performance projects (visual boards, DMS, projects, continuous improvement, KPI, and RCA); share best practices and the continuous improvement approach to capitalize on the know-how of our employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Plans, organizes, directs, and controls capitalizable and regular maintenance budgets with his maintenance team and operations managers.
- Develops, manages, and/or coordinates improvement, corrective, and/or equipment replacement projects.
- Ensures that the maintenance team is efficient and guided in our continuous improvement process (morning planning approach, process control, performance indicators).
- Optimizes the utilization rate of his workforce.
- Promotes autonomy and organizational efficiency in maintenance and engineering.
- Engages and supervises external contractors with his teams for the completion of certain tasks.
- Manages the client-supplier process and ensures budget envelopes are optimized.
- Guarantees the implementation of the plant management committee's values.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations during the implementation of standards and maintenance projects.
- Initiates, develops, supervises, and improves plant automation to maximize operational efficiency relative to key performance indicators.
- Initiates, develops, supervises, and improves the plant's engineering and maintenance performance program and monitors key performance indicators (expenses, workforce, preventive and corrective work orders, workplace inspections, energy consumption, etc.).
- Manages his performance indicators (labor cost, yield, availability, schedule adherence) and implements corrective actions to ensure the delivery of expected objectives.
- Actively participates in the development and execution of the plant's strategic plan.

Qualifications:Education Required:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, industrial, automation control) required.
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Experience Required:- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the food industry required.
- Experience in production and maintenance, project management, and relevant experience in human resource management; both managerial and unionized staff preferred.
Certification/Licensure Required:- Red Seal certification in Millwright or Electrician (an asset).
- PMP (Project Manager Process) accreditation (an asset).
Skills Required:- Technical experience in automation, networks, electricity, instrumentation, control, or other related fields.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to mobilize a team.
- Proven leadership and planning skills.
- Good knowledge of IT, Microsoft Office, and CMMS programs.
- Strong interpersonal, communication skills, and ease of working in a team.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
- Rigorous and structured.
