OverviewWho we're looking forToyota's newest manufacturing facility, Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina (TBMNC), is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Maintenance Leader.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Maintenance Department Manager to meet all Maintenance safety, quality, cost, and productivity KPI s in SOP ramp up and eventually transition into stable production in a 24/7/365 operation.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the person in this role will support the production department's objective to produce the highest quality product in the safest most efficient manner exceeding our customer's expectations.
This posting is for multiple positions and will be utilized to fill day / night shifts. More explaining will be done in the interview process. What you'll be doing - Spend considerable amount of time on the production floor overseeing the equipment, developing each team member's technical capability, and problem-solving methodology.
- Expected to be highly technical and have a strong focus on people development - providing daily leadership coaching and mentorship to all team members.
- Confirm AMT development and utilization within your groups.
- Verify all team members have full work and stretch work assignments.
- Meet equipment maintenance KPIs, visualize the maintenance shop condition, and provide measurable & continual improvement.
- Work with Maintenance teams to document equipment operation training materials, equipment PM plans, material inventory for solving equipment problems, and systems to monitor, track, and ensure completion to plan.
- Develop strong working relationships with production & other support groups to foster teamwork while solving project related issues.
- Oversee Maintenance repair and troubleshooting activity on the shop floor.
- Plan monthly, weekly, and daily work activity for your team.
- Effectively manage cost budgets. Implement kaizens to provide effective cost management of maintenance related activities.
- Support and lead QCC activity and team member development.
- Lead all activities with a Safety-First mindset.
What you bring - Experience in maintenance for manufacturing or process industries (PLC, robotics, safety protocols, etc.).
- Experience leading teams, including coaching a team to solve problems and continually improve.
- Technical process improvement and problem-solving ability (like kaizen, PDCA, RC/CM, TBP, or others).
- Experience in the training and development of team members in both formal and informal training sessions.
Added bonus if you have- Toyota Maintenance Team Leader experience.
- Toyota Maintenance Group Leader experience.
- Toyota Maintenance Tech and / or Seibi work experience.
- AS or BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a Technical Field.
