Full Job Description
NVR's Manufacturing Plant in Thurmont, MD is looking to add a team member to our maintenance team. While you will be the "go to" person for installing/fixing electrical issues you will also be expected to perform non-electrical maintenance work. NVR-Thurmont offers a fast paced work environment, a career oriented company, excellent work-life balance, and long-term growth opportunities. A person with the right knowledge as well as the right attitude is of utmost importance. Day Shift hours are 5:00am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri) Pay range starts at $39.35 per hour. Individual pay is determined by factors including the candidate's job-related skills, experience, and location. Primary Responsibilities • Oversee and direct the work practices of the maintenance crew to ensure that all machinery and facilities are in safe working order and in good repair. Work may need to be conducted during non-production hours. • Generate work and maintenance schedules. Coordinate assigned maintained items between numerous technicians and work areas. • Confirm work is completed according to OSHA guidelines. Examples include, but are not limited to, Lockout/Tagout, Fire Prevention, Fire Extinguisher Certification, Fall Protection and Crane Inspection. • Provide suggestions to plant leadership to improve equipment and methods used to manufacture products. • Maintain a running stock of parts to facilitate quick repairs when needed, in order to avoid the expense of overnight or airfreight delivery of parts. • Schedule and order steel components used in the production of items such as flitch beams, mailbox posts and exterior rail mounting brackets. • Build carts & racks, move machinery, and supervise the production of items like flitch beams. • Maintain the plant vehicle fleet and keep delivery trucks in good working order. Record and perform maintenance procedures on rolling stock used inside the facility. • Direct the removal of snow and ice, when weather conditions warrant.
