Full Job Description
Vasona Creek Healthcare is seeking a dedicated, full-time Maintenance Director to oversee our facility's physical plant, maintenance operations, and safety compliance.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience (DOE), and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Maintenance Department. You will ensure our facility is maintained in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facility Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Life Safety Code (NFPA 101), OSHA, EPA, and state healthcare regulations.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Implement and monitor a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all facility equipment and grounds.
  • Budget & Inventory: Manage the departmental budget, track expenses, and maintain inventory control for supplies and equipment.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external contractors, inspectors, and service providers for specialized facility repairs.
  • Safety Leadership: Serve on the safety committee, lead emergency preparedness drills, and ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.


Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of facility maintenance management experience, preferably in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or assisted living setting.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with state healthcare facility regulations and Life Safety Code requirements.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage, train, and motivate a maintenance team.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, families, and regulatory inspectors.
