Position Summary:Supervises repair and maintenance of buildings and plant equipment. And manufacturing equipment; schedules preventative and predictive maintenance; assists in the development of safety programs.
Responsibilities:- Supervises repairs to facilities, production equipment, and machinery to minimize downtime, ensure timely completion of repairs, and maintain safe working conditions.
- Schedules planned maintenance activities, including preventative and predictive maintenance, major equipment overhauls, and facility and site improvements to reduce equipment failure and downtime.
- Directs computerized maintenance systems to ensure data acquisition and equipment histories are accurate and complete.
- Supervises, trains, and develops department staff to enhance the quantity and quality of employee work.
- Assists in the development of a comprehensive safety program and maintains safety work order records to ensure a safe working environment.
- Recommends, processes, and approves equipment improvements and supervises installation of engineering controls and equipment updates.
- Assists in developing a comprehensive departmental budget to ensure the department stays within budgetary guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education:- Requires one to two years of college or its equivalent.
Experience:- Requires five to eight years of experience in technical disciplines.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:- Competent knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance programs; requires good oral and written communication skills and good computer skills.
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Physical Requirements:- General manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work weekends, as required.
Environment:- The environment for this position varies from clean, climate-controlled offices to manufacturing and warehouse areas.
Safety:- The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely without endangering their own or others' health or safety.
Supervisory Responsibility:- The incumbent has direct supervisory responsibility for 11 to 15 employees.
National Target Base Pay Range: $91,000.00 - $151,000.00The salary range for this position is based on national standards.
For candidates in California and the New York metro, the Target Base Pay Range is $101,000.00 - $167,000.00, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas.
Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
