Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Mainframe and Java Modernization.
  • Proficient in Mainframe technologies: COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, MQ, and VSAM.
  • Basic knowledge of Java for REST API integration and validation.
  • Experience with Legacy Migration and involvement in LMCOE (Legacy Migration Center of Excellence).
  • Familiarity with automation tools for problem statement development in Java or Python.
  • Experience in On-Prem to On-Prem migration as well as cloud migration to Azure and Microfocus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Mainframe modernization and legacy migration projects.
  • Analyze and understand project requirements for modernization.
  • Integrate and validate REST APIs using Java.
  • Develop problem statements leveraging automation tools.
  • Construct team compositions for migration projects.
  • Oversee migration efforts from legacy systems to modern platforms.

Full Job Description
8+ Yrs of experience in the Mainframe & Java Modernisation space. The Candidate has experience in understanding the requirements for the Mainframe Modernization and Legacy Migration. The tech stack used is Mainframe technologies(COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS,MQ,VSAM) etc as mandatory, Basic Java Knowledge requried integrate and understand on REST API integration and validations. The Candidate was part of the LMCOE (Legacy Migration) in his previous engagement. The Candidate has knowledge in automation tools in developing the problem statement using Java or Python. The Candidate has experience and worked on the Mainframe Modernization in migration On-Prem to On-Prem, Cloud Migration to Azure, Migration to Microfocus. The Candidate has understanding in building the team composition for Migration Projects
