Managing the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment
Providing technical solutions, performing code reviews, enforcing coding standards, and ensuring the quality of deliverables
Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to mainframe applications
Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and designing technical solutions
Keeping abreast of industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and innovative solutions
Identifying opportunities to improve the software development process and team productivity
Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including functional and technical specifications
Working with other teams, such as business analysts and QA, to deliver successful projects
Identifying and mitigating technical risks
Providing guidance and support to other team members
Conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices
Optimizing mainframe systems for performance and efficiency
Providing support for testing efforts, including defect resolution
Participating in release management activities
Understanding the business needs and how mainframe applications support those needs
