We are seeking an enthusiastic Machine Learning Researcher eager to tackle highly complex problems using machine learning technology. As a Machine Learning Researcher, you will be called upon to apply your passion for manipulating real-world data to innovative solutions. We are a lab that supports research on a wide variety of theoretical and applied machine learning projects. Working in our lab, you will have access to vast sets of structured and unstructured datasets and the tools and resources necessary to create innovative statistical models.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to publish your research findings in peer-reviewed journals and participate in conferences worldwide (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR, and many others).

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing new artificial intelligence solutions that facilitate the creation of impactful products;
  • Conducting original, publishable research by advancing cutting-edge machine learning techniques;
  • Working with the development team to translate research findings into actionable products;
  • Interpreting broader organizational needs and designing algorithmic solutions that can contribute to the next generation of banking experiences;
  • Identifying relevant new artificial intelligence technologies as they become available and integrating them with the bank's technological capabilities.
  • In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with partners and colleagues in Canada and around the world.

  • You hold a PhD in a subfield of artificial intelligence or have research experience (publications or sophisticated AI products);
  • You are able to define and conduct a research project independently without close supervision;

  • Cultivate and maintain high-impact relationships across multiple sectors to provide strategic insights and generate measurable value as a trusted advisor.
