Work You'll DoM&A I&D professionals advise, implement, and deliver transformative solutions to clients to optimize their activities due to a pending/completed transaction, restructuring and strategic cost transformation event. Our practitioners perform business process analysis, mapping, and design for M&A transactions. As part of the M&A team, Consultants assist in the above through synthesizing overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions. They select the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing or complex financial analysis, and interpreting and reporting on outputs. Consultants strive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results, serving as trusted advisors to corporate and private equity clients. Consultants also perform but are not limited to the following:
- Function as integrators between business needs and M&A innovative technology solutions
- Gain exposure to multiple industries while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by Deloitte Consulting
- Perform accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of client issues and manage day-to-day client relationships at peer client levels
- Assist in proposal development, as requested
- Work with global teams as applicable which may require work to be balanced across varying/multiple time zones

The TeamOur M&A team offers expert guidance to corporate and private equity clients in navigating complex growth and divestiture scenarios. Our services encompass M&A strategy and transaction diligence, integration and separation planning and execution, as well as transaction financing.
Our M&A I&D team executes M&A transactions to achieve seamless transitions and develop maximum value for our clients. Deloitte's M&A I&D team of specialists assist with deal closing, Integration and divestiture strategy and governance, developing and executing a Day 1 implementation plan, and addressing longer-term integration needs to create the future-state organization our clients envision. This specific group of practitioners within I&D focus on those activities of program management that are key to seamless transitions, superior outcomes, and delivering value in an integration or divestiture. Additionally, the scope of their work includes Day 1 certification, development of workplans and milestones, identification of functional interdependencies, facilitating cutover planning, testing and execution, or end-state blueprinting. This team helps Deloitte's clients navigate complex market and economic conditions which enables them to become prepared buyers or sellers, incorporating their divestment goals and planning for seamless execution to enhance deal value.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in M&A Integration & Divestiture or M&A Integration & Divestiture service delivery experience
- Experience working on 2+ M&A transactions
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years consulting and/or industry experience; alternatively, an MBA with 1+ years relevant work experience
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
- Recent experience working in a professional services consulting firm
- Ability to work independently
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
- Ability to apply practical experience with communications, culture, and change management
- Ability to perform analysis and synthesize data into useful insights
- Eagerness to mentor junior staff
- An advanced degree
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,600 to $150,700.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
