Work You'll Do

As an Analyst on the I&D - HC team, you will support clients through the people-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and divestitures.
  • Support human capital workstreams across the M&A lifecycle, including diligence, pre-close planning, Day 1 readiness, and post-close integration or separation activities
  • Develop and maintain workplans, status reports, issue logs, and client-ready deliverables related to organization design, workforce transition, change management, employee communications, and HR operating model activities
  • Analyze client data, document current-state and future-state processes, and help identify risks, dependencies, and implementation considerations across functional teams
  • Coordinate with cross-functional and global teams across areas such as finance, information technology, legal, operations, and human resources to support transaction execution
  • Contribute to engagement delivery, internal practice initiatives, and proposal development through research, analysis, and preparation of materials in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel

The Team

M&A advises corporate and PE clients across inorganic growth/divestiture scenarios through M&A strategy, diligence, integration/separation planning and execution, financial and modeling services, and transaction financing.

Within Deloitte's M&A offering, the Integration & Divestiture - Human Capital team helps clients address the people-related dimensions of transactions across the deal lifecycle. The team supports organizations through diligence, pre-close planning, Day 1 readiness, integration, and separation by focusing on areas such as organization design, workforce transition, employee communications, change management, and human resources operating model decisions. Working alongside cross-functional deal teams, the practice helps clients manage workforce risks, support business continuity, and execute human capital priorities that enable transaction value.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions integration and divestiture, transaction-related human capital, or human capital service delivery
  • Experience supporting at least 1 M&A transaction
  • Experience supporting human capital workstreams such as organization design, workforce transition, change management, employee communications, or HR operating model activities
  • Experience developing client deliverables using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
  • Experience working in a professional services consulting environment
  • Experience supporting integration planning, separation planning, or Day 1 readiness activities
  • Experience coordinating activities across cross-functional stakeholders, including human resources, finance, legal, information technology, and operations
  • Experience using Microsoft Visio
  • Experience preparing status updates, workplans, or executive-ready materials for client stakeholders
  • Advanced degree

This compensation range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,600 to $147,600.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
