- Schedule Type: Rotating schedule with every 3rd weekend off

Position Overview
We are seeking dependable and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses to provide quality nursing care in a supportive healthcare environment. The LVN/LPN will administer medications and treatments, monitor patients, perform nursing procedures, document care, respond to medical emergencies, and communicate important patient information with the healthcare team.
This position is a great opportunity for an LVN/LPN who enjoys providing direct patient care and wants a consistent full-time schedule.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments
- Perform nursing procedures in accordance with established guidelines and demonstrated competencies
- Monitor patients and document changes in condition and other pertinent observations
- Maintain accurate electronic or paper medical records
- Collect specimens and perform appropriate screening tests when required
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Follow infection control and workplace safety procedures
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their healthcare goals
- Assist with patient positioning and repositioning when needed
- Monitor patients during treatments and procedures
- Maintain adequate nursing supplies
- Communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team
- Perform other nursing duties as assigned
Requirements
- Current Texas LVN license or an active license through a state participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact
- Current American Heart Association CPR certification
- Experience with IDD and psych preferred.
- Basic computer and electronic health record skills preferred
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
- Psychiatric healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to successfully complete required background checks and drug screening
- Negative PPD/TB test within the past 12 months
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned rotating schedule
Important Schedule Information
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. The schedule is 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, five days per week, with every third weekend off. Additional time off may not be available during the holiday season, including Christmas and New Year's.
