This is an opportunity for an experienced automotive professional who understands the entire used vehicle operation-from acquisition and merchandising to sales process execution and team accountability.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraffic & Lead Management- Drive showroom, phone, internet, and digital traffic conversion through disciplined follow-up processes.
- Monitor daily lead activity and ensure rapid response times across all lead sources.
- Partner with the sales team to maximize appointment set, show, and sold ratios.
- Analyze traffic trends and implement strategies to increase dealership opportunities.
- Hold sales staff accountable for CRM usage, customer follow-up, and pipeline management.
Used Vehicle Sales Growth- Develop and execute a strategic plan to consistently achieve and exceed 55+ used vehicle sales per month.
- Manage inventory levels, pricing strategies, and market competitiveness.
- Identify opportunities to increase used vehicle market share and dealership profitability.
- Work closely with acquisition teams to source quality inventory through trades, auctions, service drive opportunities, and direct purchases.
Inventory Management- Maintain optimal inventory turn and aging targets.
- Ensure vehicles are properly reconditioned, photographed, merchandised, and listed online.
- Monitor market pricing and adjust inventory to remain competitive.
- Oversee vehicle appraisals and trade evaluations.
Leadership & Accountability- Coach, train, and motivate sales professionals to improve performance and customer experience.
- Conduct daily sales meetings and performance reviews.
- Establish clear KPIs and hold team members accountable for results.
- Foster a culture of urgency, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Financial Performance- Maximize front-end gross profit while maintaining competitive market pricing.
- Review performance metrics and identify opportunities for increased profitability.
- Manage inventory investments and aged inventory strategies.
- Collaborate with F&I and dealership leadership to achieve overall store objectives.
Qualifications- Minimum 3 years of successful automotive sales management experience.
- Previous Used Car Manager experience preferred.
- Proven track record of increasing used vehicle sales volume and profitability.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, acquisition strategies, and market-based pricing.
- Experience with CRM systems, digital retailing tools, and lead management platforms.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and execute improvement plans.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
